January 4, 1997 -- Oh boy...Life just doesn't get any
stranger! I'm currently my ex-boyfriend's girlfriend. Have been since
January 1st, I guess. Weird, eh?
I can think of about nine thousand people who are going to kill me
for it, and about the same amount of people who are going to kill him.
But honestly? I don't care. I've suddenly been made very happy. I
feel like I've been hit by a truck...but I'm happy. No, not sick again.
I'm actually feeling quite healthy. I've gotten to bed very early each
night for a week...before dawn, that is. But I still feel okay! Go
figure. I've got two weeks left of winter break, two weeks before all
my friends go back to school. I'll be sad to see them go, but I'll
visit them, or call them, or write them...just like I did all semester.
I'll live. What happened? Good question...it came out of no where. Both of us said on many occasions "I'd never go back out with him/her!", "That's insane!" and other such things. Oh well. My bad. Let's see...it started off a normal day. I woke up late and got to pep band late. We had a basketball game and we got BORED! Hofstra lost...again! A fellow band member (Pat) suggested that for our last song we play "The Lion Sleeps, As Usual". :::snicker::: Then it was good...the Pep band got taken to Bennigan's....sweet deal. We ate TONS of food....everything I think...all on Hofstra. Good Deal. We all joked around and made fun of each other, and had a generally good time. After that I stopped by and visited my ex (he works next door to Bennigan's). He was REALLY busy so I left soon. Then we had a SECOND game at 7. A few band members and I sat in John's (not the director...the other one!) car and listened to some VERY loud music. Hofstra WON the wrestling match...for once. Eh, the most fun I had was making fun of the wrestlers with Lisa. ;) I went with Brian (the ex) to hunt down a cd he wants desperately, but can't find at any Wall location... Then we TRIED to find Ray and Jos but each one was busy with their significant other. So we went to Baldwin Lanes and I laughed at Brian, Sandra, Emily, and Krista while they were bowlin' to the oldies at Rock 'n Bowl. After that Brian and I rented Batman Forever and I teased him by swooning over Chris O'Donnell all night. Somewhere in the middle of the movie he asked me out...in a very slick way too...I hardly noticed! Okay, quick footnote...the first time we went out, he didn't really ask me out...he was slick about that too. I got a call from Joslyn a few hours after Brian had gone home and she said "You're going out with Brian?!" to which my response was an astounded "What?! I'm going out with Brian?!" That quickly turned into a scene from My Cousin Vinny and I got off the phone with Jos very confused. I called up Brian and explained what happened (So...Jos says I'm GOING OUT WITH YOU!!!!!????)...he laughed. Then he really asked me out...and I said yes. A little over two years later he manages to be the slightest bit more slick, and we're going out, but I don't know how it happened! But who cares? I'm happy, and I'm having a blast being confused out of my wits! |
