March 13, 1997 -- Okay. I've been a horrible human being. Well, maybe not a horrible human being...just a horrible member of Open Pages. As soon as I get put into the ring I slack off for almost two weeks in my daily thoughts. Eh, at least I updated the REST of my page...in case you didn't notice.

New stuff with me....something else for those of you without graphics to suffer over. Image Maps. I saw them all over the place, and said "Man, those sure are cool." So what did I do? Swiped one, disected it's inner workings, pulled out the HTML for Dummies book I stole...um...BORROWED from Brian, and made my own. But I was so busy doing that that I didn't make any new backgrounds....I stole these from someone.

I'd just like to mention that I am in NO WAY claiming these are MY backgrounds. I would like to give all due props to the person from whom I stole these.

Okay....on to me. I had a BITCH of a time with school the last few days....Hell Week is EARLY this semester (Which makes me think it may re-visit later on...) and I am TIRED. That's part of my lame excuse for why I haven't updated the journal. I had an English paper due Monday...5 pages, no biggie. Then a lab due Tuesday...7 pages single spaced of stuff I had to calculate from my data. What a kick that was! Most fun I've had in WEEKS!!!

Not.

Then the REAL fun was when I handed it in...I had done all that work only to find out that we didn't HAVE TO!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly joined the circus right then...I could too, they're at Nassau Coliseum (Duh, Kathy no spell...duh...WordPad have no spell-check!) now. But I couldn't...I had a Japanese test right after Lab. Oh, I forgot about my fun experience with solution 7 in lab....we have to test 14 unknowns and determine what ions are present. While doing a flame test on #7 (see what color it burns...), it boiled off the warm scoopula (Chemistry has such FUN names for stuff!) and produced an evil little cloud of steam which the air currents carried right into my face. I was coughing and wheezing, with my eyes tearing, and a sudden intense hatred for solution 7. I'm okay now...it wasn't too bad. I just had a sore throat for the rest of the day. Chemistry just keeps getting better and better! ;)
But I'm doing good, happier than I was for a while. Reasons to feel better? Tons of them:

    1) I feel better physically, my back hardly ever hurts at all.
    2) I may be getting a job soon (I won't say where on this page because of certain people who I would not enjoy visiting me if I do get the job).
    3) Got a new windshield for my car (I was attacked by a vicious rock on the parkway!)
    4) Put a smiley sticker on the bumper
    5) Got to see The WallFlowers (One HeadLight,6th Avenue Heartache...Bob Dylan's son, Jakob Dylan!) in concert at Hofstra.
    6) Caught up on most of my school work.
I even get to go away this weekend!! Life is good. Summer isn't too far away and I have a bikini that I don't look like a 12-year-old-boy-in-drag in. Who could ask for more? I know what to ask for....WRITE ME!!!!! I'd love to hear what you think of my new stuff...actually I NEED to hear if you think the files are too large (Does it take forever for you? I have a 28.8 so I whip right through most of it...let me know!). That goes for the whole page really. I'm planning tons of changes. I actually have most of it written already. I just have to HTMLify it. Okay, enough rambling. See ya SOON. I promise. Either another journal page or an updated "Me" page, or that picture page I've been promising......sure.
