March 19, 1997 -- I'm so lazy I'm reusing really old backgrounds! But my point isn't that... Those radio people must be stopped. Do you realize the way they wield their awesome radio powers? I personally listen to Z-100 most of the time...sort of a tready "we play nothing bad" station. I don't like all of it, but for a radio station to play ALL music I liked, I'd have to run it...when do you think THAT'LL happen? Anyway...The Radio People of Z-100 have developed a problem. Do you know Stairway to Heaven? Yeah...they do THAT to EVERY song. Before I went to bed last night I heard that song by The Cardigans...Lovefool. The one on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack for the zillionth time that day. Then I heard it this morning...twice in three hours. This has to stop...there ARE other songs. The whole musical world does not consist of two WallFlowers songs, The Spice Girls, The Cardigans, Alanis, No Doubt...and the same three Bob Marley songs. I wish I could get a transmitter and do what Hard Harry (Christian Slater) did in Pump Up The Volume...bitch 'em out and play some good tunes!!! The most annoying part of it all is that there were AWESOME stations for about a year...the first time I went out with Brian. Q104.3 played heavy stuff instead of that "Bungle in the Jungle" song over and over and over., 93.2 K-Rock was somehow better...maybe Stern wasn't their personal radio deity then, 92.7 was still D.R.E. and worthy of itself, and even Z-100 was on a REAL "music that doesn't suck" kick. What happened? Why did they all suddenly decide to suck? RADIO CONSPIRACY!!!!! Okay...no. But really, I listen to tapes all the time. There's no way I can deal with the same 10 songs all day. Who could? While I'm ranting and raving about music, I might as well mention something that has less than nothing to do with it. My nails. They are short, healthy, and almost completely grown out. The ruined nails leftover from having fake nails are all but gone. I know you care. I'm proud of myself, I stopped biting them, resisted the temptation to just get more fake nails and be done with it, and I took care of them. I'm PROUD. Okay. Enough of that! SPRING BREAK!!!!!! YES!!!! A week off from school with my friends....I hope it warms up a little more, I'd love to spend a warm spring evening of the beach with my buddies just chillin'. I'd also love to take a long trip out to Montauk and stand on the end of the island to try and see England. You never do but it's fun anywho. I'm really looking forward to this summer...fun boyfriend, fun crowd, hopefully a JOB so I can actually have money to do stuff with, and warm weather. I live for summer. Someday I'll live someplace that it's warm ALL the time...or at least most of it, and I'll never be bothered with dry skin again!!! This summer I plan to get in shape...I'm tired of being tired. Since my boyfriend is a full-time activity and Hockey NUT he'll get me out on my bike and swimming and skiing and everything I did LAST time I went out with him. What a blast we had.... ;) !!!!
