| May 6, 1997 -- *NOTE* Full Props to PatternLand for my awesome new background. I had TWO finals today. Two. My brain is beyond fried. But I'm feeling better now that I'm sitting with only two more tests and one paper due. I think that fact that I don't have lab or Japanese anymore helps.
I got home tonight at 10:00, and I crashed on the couch for an hour to stare at the mindless noise box. Ann sat around with me but she's really noisy when I watch TV so I get annoyed quickly. Okay, you need some background information for my story: |

Brian: Kathy, why does your family have such a stupid toaster oven, instead of the typical Black&Decker Toaster Oven with one dial and that push-down timer? Me: We did have one of those...actually we've had three. They committed suicide. Brian: What? Me: Actually, we killed them but we made it look like suicide so we didn't get arrested for voluntary toaster-slaughter. Brian: Uh-huh. Me: They caught on fire...all three of them...within 3 months of owning them. We decided we should start killing another kind of toaster.

Okay, it wasn't quite that cool, but that was the general idea. How about our industrial size microwave? Have you ever seen a blueberry muffin that's been nuked on HIGH for 45 minutes? There's not much left besides the smell. Our dishwasher decided to try its hand at floors too...Cascade is tough to mop up, but it sure doesn't leave any streaks or spots on the floor either! Oh, this was background info...we got an alarm. It has a motion detector. I've seen Sneakers a few too many times...remember when that guy was trying to fool the motion sensors? He had to walk REALLY slowly. I've been doing that. Damned thing always catches me too. Don't break into my house, the alarm rocks. Anyway, there I am, walking REALLY slowly past the motion detector saying "Damn! It caught me!" every few seconds, when Ann races over and starts waving her arms around and jumping in front of it.
