July 14, 1997 -- I marched in a really long parade on Saturday...not for any special cause or anything, just helping out my high school marching band director, getting to play, and having some fun. The only problem I had was that I was wearing new sneakers and the whole parade was downhill. I don't have a blister...I have a hole in my foot. It hurts a bunch. I was limping around wearing my sneakers with my foot squishing down the back of the shoe. With a bag full of pink and yellow foam bandages. I used up all the blue ones and I was wearing the last green one. It was a little sad, but they seemed to make it feel better the best. Kinda weird. I realized I really like band-aids...not the regular plastic kind though. The kind I get are Active Strips, in the neon colors. They're like fabric band-aids, but squishier. They don't come off in water and they don't make my skin get all red (I have very delicate skin, band-aids make it red and sore most of the time). I just wish I could find them in multi-colored or something more exciting than plain old neon green. Like plaid. Plaid band-aids would rock. ;) |
