October 22, 1997 -- I've been considering learning :::gasp!::: FRAMES!

I'm not sure why, and I'm certain I'd go to hell if I used them, but it still seems like such a good way to have my image map use less space on my pages and make it easier to get around. The only problem I have is I can't figure the damn things out. I have two HTML books. HTML for Dummies and The Idiots Guide to HTML, neither of which even knows of the existence of Netscape Navigator 3.0 or Communicator 4.0. They talk about the *NEW* Netscape 2.0 coming out.

But I don't want to buy another HTML book. I have so many better books to get.

Another thing...I've been reading a lot more lately. And I started up an old hobby (With much prodding from Brian) again. Counted Cross-Stitch. It really is just too girly, but I'm making such a cool picture of a dragon and I don't care.

But as for reading, I have several books going right now. I'm re-reading the 22-book Robotech series again...it's going slowly this time. I'm learning to read Tarot cards (Man, am I bad at it...you have no idea. But I'll get better). I'm also reading How to Win Arguments: A Guide to Getting your Point Across and Penn and Tellers Guide to Playing with your Food. The last book I'm reading is Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner which I think is the most interesting. My roommate and I looked over the spells it lists and decided to set up "40 quartz crystals and white candles" to perform the "House Blessing Rites". Sure. Overall it is a very interesting book, but I just don't imagine myself making a 9-foot circle of power on my floor and setting up an altar to the Deities. Not this week anyway. ;)

Of course, I do have tons of school work to do, and I may be changing my major. It's a big surprise to me, but I don't want to be here forever! My parents are all for it and it seems like it will work okay...but I'll tell you what I'm changing to after I decide for sure what to do. ;) Just a little bit of a cliffhanger! Later!
