December 19, 1997 -- No, I'm not dead. I'm just bad at this journal thing. But finals are over, and tonight is my last night in warm, sunny Vestal, NY until late January, and I felt the creative juices flowing. Probably because I'm really thirsty.

I've been really enjoying cold beverages lately. They rock. Do you know that feeling, the one where you're dying for a drink, you open the fridge, crack open a freezing cold Pepsi and down half the can. Before the carbonation hits you and leaves you writhing on the floor in agony, the cold soda feels fantastic. Very refreshing.

But enough about that. I'm going home soon. Tomorrow morning my dad will be here to pick up me and my personal possessions. I decided that before I pack up my computer to bring it home, I should write a journal entry. Then I don't feel so lazy. ;)

I'm trying out using Lotus to write this page. Thus far it is the least annoying I have encountered. But it has this annoying little box that pops up and tells me that my 'markup' is wrong. I, of course, close the little box. It has some problem with my image map and it can't seem to get over it. And it likes to capitalize the word 'it'. This is amusing. (Note: When I later looked over the HTML I found Lotus is just as annoying as the rest of them...oh well...)

My roommate left on Wednesday. She forgot her fish. Poor Spot. She called me this morning and asked if I could take him to the pet store and give him up for adoption. She also suggested flushing him down the toilet but I refused. I told her I already had made plans to get him home but she says she doesn't want him. Poor Spot. Anyone want my roommate's fish?

Ack! If I hit Tab, the stupid program makes a new table. Duh. Did I mention that I'm going to streamline my index page? It should be faster to load and such. And if anyone can suggest a good book for learning to use frames in a less than offensive way, could you tell me?

I'm going to miss it up here.
