| February 25, 1998 -- I got an e-mail today from an Open Pages guru. I was informed that my page was gone. They were nice enough to not remove me from the ring entirely, hoping that Geocities had once again screwed me over. Ding ding ding!!! It's okay. I sent a nice e-mail back after I checked that my page was still alive. I should be back in the ring shortly...I hope.
But moving on to more interesting Schtuff...my printer continues to blow. I tortured it into functioning tonight. I actually unscrewed things and blew mechanical stuff around with my compressed air doodad. I managed to cover myself and half my desk in ink in the process, but it works again...for the time being. Except the black cartridge. It still thinks it's empty. I spent close to $30 on a new print cartridge only to find out that I was right, and the damn thing is stupid and broken. Go figure. Repeat the Mantra: I do not hate my printer. I have determined what my next printer will be. A Hewlett Packard 722. I decided this when Brian and I went printer shopping. He got one, I drooled. It's wonderful. Fast, quiet, gorgeous color, and not an Epson. I'm so jealous I could cry. He said he'll let me print stuff out though. I feel so pathetic...I have a printer, but it sucks so much I need to borrow other people's. WAAAAAA!!!!! I have two tests tomorrow. One in each computer science class. And a lab due for the C++ class. I will fail something, and I think it'll be the Logic Design test. I just don't understand base 8. I hate it. It annoys me. What's wrong with base 10? Why do we bother with number systems we just don't use!! :::sigh::: It will all be fine. I'm sure of it. Tomorrow I'll spend an hour studying for the easy class, then bolt over to the reading room to play "Squeeze the Math Major's Brain" and learn base 8, hexidecimal, and other such hateful things. But for now I suppose I should crawl into my chilly lonesome bed and cuddle with a pillow and a heat pack to loosen the annoying congestion in my chest. I will not get sick. I am well. I just need more sleep. The weekend is almost here. I can make it. Oh! My sister is coming to visit me next weekend...March 6th-8th. Isn't that great? She's bringing her friend Heather, who is in...um, 10th grade I think? Maybe 11th. This should be interesting. Oh, and my sister too! Without my parents! I wish I had a car...that would make the weekend awesome. Fortunately, I have a Brian, and the Brian has a Jeep. He's so good for those kinds of things!! Ah...enough sitting. I need to sleep.
