March 18, 1998 -- I have done SO little work. I'm going to be up all night the rest of the week just working on school stuff. I'm such a pathetic student.
At least I'm good at procrastinating. Everyone needs a talent. So, yesterday I got a perm. It looks so cool. I love curlies. I was a little scared, remembering the LAST perm I had, but this one came out nice. I'm glad I did it. I'll post the pictures when I get them developed...still have 13 more pictures to take on the roll. The first picture should be funny. I looked JUST like Jennifer Grey straight out of Dirty Dancing, minus Patrick Swazye. I've got the same big nose as she does. ;) Brian got his hair cut too. Short. The fuzzy scruff at the back and sides is gone. It isn't buzzed, but it's closer than I ever thought he'd get it. ;) I love it. He looks to cool. I love short hair. The best part is that the short hair makes the red stand out more. It faded to a darker auburn instead of Crayola Magenta, but I think it looks really good. As for my color, still blond. My glasses should come in soon, and my one new contact too. I will see again! The doctor said the prescription was fine, there was a problem with the actual lens. I love the new frames. I'll be able to wear them in public. They're oval and small, and a very light tortoise shell. Much better than my old dark gray frames. Brian and I have been hanging out with his buddies quite a bit. Rick and Jake in particular. They're fun...Brian's been friends with them for about ten years now so they have tons of old funny stories to tell. Mostly involving Brian getting beat on by Rick, someone throttling someone else in a video game, or playing hockey somewhere. I've heard their favorites a few times now. Mostly from Rick and Brian though, Jake adds a new point of view. Like Brian playing goalie against Jake, complete with full padding, and stopping every shot until Jake got so fed up he even forgot how to curse ("I'm going to stomp your pissin' head!" or something like that), and trying to throttle Brian. Brian was wearing pads so, of course, he taunted him. Brian came out uninjured, Jake was doused in his own blood from peeling his knees and elbows during falls. I giggled. Needless to say, we've been playing video games a bunch. We spent the other night playing four player Goldeneye with Jake and Gerrard (you remember him, my manager's son?). Gerrard brought extra rumble packs and Jake was being FUNNY! Every time he died, or got shot (and it was quite a bit!) he'd shout "Ruuuumble Pack!!!" By the end of the night I swore my parents were going to kill us all. So, just remember, when you're bored and lonely, N64 is all you need to get a party going with all the people you know who are just as geeky as you.
