March 27, 1998 -- This month is almost over, isn't it...wow.

So, Brian and I made up the lab we missed on monday, today...

MMMMmmmm...I smell bb-q! I'm so hungry...how dare they have a bb-q!

Anyway...the rest of the day was interesting to say the least. Brian went to the mall a little, got some Long John Silver's (which I call Popeye's all the time for some unknown reason) for lunch, then we played Puzzle Fighter and Marvel Super Hero's at his place. I'm glad I got him the Saturn, but I wish he wouldn't completely forsake the other systems...I wanna play Yoshi's Story! I'll swipe the N64 back tomorrow.

I went back to my place to check out movie times for Grease, but I found Kristen getting all dressed up for something. She was going out to a casino and invited Brian and I. How could we resist? So we all got dolled up and squeezed into Walter's car to go to the Turning Stone Casino. Brian and I had no intention of gambling but I had 4 quarters and I said I'd use them on slot machines just because I could.

Let's take a moment to think about this situation. Five people crammed into Walter's tiny foreign car, listening to spanish music at high volume. And Walter drives like an old woman. He was going 42 in a 65 zone. I could have killed him. It took us more than two hours for a 1 and 1\2 hour trip. Ugh.

But the casino was fun...we got some bad pizza then Kristen, Walter and Sumir all went to the real gambling part of the place...I got a Multi Card (the slot machines work on little ATM card things that you put cash on, no money spilling over the floor when you win, just bright lights and blinking stuff), put five dollars on it, and found a 5-cent slot machine. That kept me and Brian busy for an hour. I ended up losing a total of $1.15.

The ride back was even more fun. Walter has no sense of direction so he almost made SEVERAL wrong turns. And he wouldn't listen to us.

"Walter, that's our exit" (still in the left lane)
"Walter, to the right, our exit..." (speeds up)
"What the %*&#@ are you doing man!! Get over already!!!"

I don't like people who backseat drive for no reason, but if I'm going the wrong way, I'm glad when people tell me. I don't like having to turn around. Walter was pig-headed about getting directions. He went so far as to pull over not to the right shoulder but to the stripey part between the exit (which was on the left) and the road. "Okay, who else wants to drive then!" And he sat there angry until Kristen said "Fine, I will." Then he pulled back on to the road.

Note to self: Never go on a road trip with Walter where he drives.

We didn't get home until 4:30am...then Brian had to change the wheels on his skates. I decided to stay over his place so I could drive him to the bus and get the car for tomorrow. So there I was, trying to sleep, with Brian banging the crud off his skates with a hammer. Brian S. woke up and came up to complain about the noise. So I chatted with him until Bri finished with his skates...in the basement where no one could hear him.

Brian told me he went skating up and down the block at 5:30am to test out the new wheels. Sometimes I worry...
