"If you see a fork in the road, take it! Because hey, free fork!" - Unknown
Sometimes you just have to laugh. I recommend to anyone, that if such an urge should hit you in a public place where your reputation matters, remember a humorous anecdote before you begin to laugh. This minimizes how dumb you look to those around you. Enough of that...I'm fine. Still a bit too excited about my car though. I've been telling everyone. Today in lab I told my TA. That reminds me...I should act dumb at all times. Really. In lab today my TA turned to me and said "Oh, Kathy, since you were here on Friday I'm going to have you teach the lab while I work with [so-and-so]". My response? "Are you JOKING? I can't teach this stuff? Even if I did understand it!" Then I got a little more coherent "Have Brian do it! He's going to be a teacher anyway, it'll be good practice!" She almost made me do it too. But I ended up with two extra people at the lab bench with Brian and I, so we just taught THEM. ;) I could never be a teacher. I can hardly tell Brian which way to scratch when my back itches ("No, over...no, the other way...")!!! I would never want to confuse people by becoming the worst teacher in the world. Okay, maybe not the worst, but close. Brian and I went to see Primary Colors today. It was so odd, but I loved Kathy Bates in it. She was fantastic. But I can't say my favorite line without ruining one of the best surprises in the movie. Somethings just suck. I'll have to post it in a few weeks when everyone's seen it already. But my point really is that Brian and I had an hour to kill before the movie started, so we went window shopping. First, we went to the bookstore, where I hunted down a book about Photoshop and got very excited about some of the stuff I never realized I could do. Then I found out I had read a book about Photoshop 4, while I have version 3.0. Goody. Brian, of course, read a guitar magazine. Then I dragged him, kicking and screaming, into the craft store. I bought a little purse kit, with a little fairy on it. Brian's little sister is going to love it. Damn, I talked about everything today, didn't I? I should go finish my work and sleep. It's important, you know... |
