April 27, 1998 -- I didn't sleep last night. It was 10:30am when I finally did crawl into bed for three hours before my lab.

You see, Kristen had this huge group presentation due today, and her group called her and said "We're not done". So she couldn't type up the thingy she had to do until they finished the whole 25 page paper. They did it on a word processor too, so they couldn't e-mail it to her, or print out a quick copy.

As a matter of fact, they couldn't print out ANY quick copies...the printer was screwed up and it took them nearly 8 HOURS to print a single copy. I personally think it was all a lie so they had more time to finish and it "wasn't their fault". But oh well, it isn't MY report.

So last night Kristen brings over two people from her group. Caroline and James. Caroline is in the law frat and has been trying to get Kris to pledge all semester. James I just met for the first time last night. He doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the world, but he was a remarkably nice guy. One of those people that makes the rest of the room happy with his great personality. They were here until 9am. Caroline spent most of the time typing..

Did this guy just say "No one bagels like mine eye doest lie, No one bagels like mine eye"? I just got a $1 CD at Music City because it had an interesting title....VAST -- Visual Audio Sensory Theater. I had to know, and a dollar was worth it. Just for the record, it rules so far. It started out sounding like classical, which was okay with me. But then the vocals came in and it sounds like slow metal. And the vocals sound a lot like Alice In Chains. It's REALLY interesting...in a good way. But all I know is VAST...there's no other stuff on the cd, like song names. I'm assuming from the title that it has some kind of visula stuff on it, but I haven't put it in the 'puter yet. Soon.

Back to the story. Caroline spent most of the night typing. I jumped in every so often (I let them use my computer because Kris has this annoying little 386 laptop...s.....l....o...w...) and typed while she dictated. She was impressed with my typing speed...as was I. I had no idea I could type so fast. I guess it's because I so seldom just listen and type what someone dictates...I either have to read it (and I write all my major stuff straight to computer so I never tested my copying speed) or I make it up as I go along. I was actually typing faster than she was dictating at points. Very cool. I was surprised too, I usually have a LOT of trouble visualizing words to type them. I have to pause most times and check myself.

Whoa...this cd just turned super cool. I don't know what this is but it sounds like Chant versus Helmet. Awesome.

So, um...I'm tired and stuff now.
