"This'll be the last math class I ever take -- even if I have to take it twice!"

-- My sister, Ann

I just got back from the movies...Six Days, Seven Nights. It was a little cornball and very predictable, but it was good.

I did a bunch today. I helped mom clean out the basement, and I found the old hamster wheel in the attic. I set that one up in Baxter's cage. I had to hang the base through the side of the cage and clip it with a hair pin, but it fits and works. And he seems to like it too. It took him some time to figure it out, since the other wheel didn't really work all that well. But I got that wheel out (With a little help from Dad because it was firmly attached by an odd clip that I couldn't open) and all is well. He's running right now. He seems to have given up on trying to escape for now. I think he was just really bored without a working wheel. I don't blame him.

In more personal news, my mother thinks I have 'rosey-o-la'...which my father had. It's some kind of skin problem that makes you break out in little red things on your forehead. I figured I just had bad skin lately, but Mom says that I could be allergic to something...and that something could be anything. Yay. Go me. Strange allergies are my style.

I'm allergic to apples. They make my throat tighten up.

I'm also allergic to almonds. And plums.

I can't think of much else. But 'rosey-o-la' would explain my skin still breaking out so much at 20. And it can be treated! With antibiotics...the serious kind, like tetracyclyline (which I actually think I spelled properly!). That's what finally cured it for Dad...after three years of creams and potions. So...Mom is making an appointment with the dermatologist for me to see if she's right. I may get clear skin! Yay!

Brian's got a job for the summer. A real job, not a McDonald's job. He's learning Visual Basic and he's really excited about it. Both the job and Visual Basic, that is. He mentioned felling like Dilbert though...they keep taking away his computer. He's just an intern and sometimes there are people higher on the food chain whose computers crash and they need new ones. And Bri was working on a laptop...easily taken.

That's it Baxter...feel the burn. Man, he's taking this exercise thing just as serious as my first hamsters did. Ann and I each had one...they both used to run in the wheel together....and take turns falling out.

As for my sister....she's let out her math scream. The "I've had enough!" that everyone except math majors lets out eventually. I did it after Calc 2...then took Calc 3 anyway and did miserably. Now I'm in discrete math...which in itself isn't that bad...except that I'm full. I'll manage...but I'm sure as hell not getting an A. Not that it matters much...the grade won't transfer anywho.

I love how I can rationalize this...

After this semester I'm going to start learning Java in 21 days. Let me just say that this is one massive book. I truly believe that if I can get all the way through this book, I will know Java. Scary.

Okay...g'night!!
