"Ann, duct tape doesn't rust."
"You tell the duct tape that."
-- Myself and Ann in the wind-up toy, coming home.

"Is it safe to come out yet? There was a slight chance of me being exposed as the stupid, cheerfully immature bugger that I am...."
:::snicker:::
Okay, I feel better now. Humor quota being filled and all...
Ah...I am so content and happy. I skiied today, and was admired. I also made my toe bleed on a fall.
Call me stupid, but I think that's an accomplishment. Really. Bleeding shows that I'm getting into the sport more....especially since I bled, but ignored it in favor of more skiing!!! Go go, mighty me...What a great Vi-tor-y!! Okay, so I only bled a little. I was still cool...I'm going about 6 or 7 mph faster ( I usually skiied at 20-22mph) than I used to...I get more air that way. I figure if I get up to 32 or so, I'll be flying and it'll just RULE. RULE I TELL YOU!!!!
:::cough:::
So, we took Joslyn and her brother Darryl....please, refrain....out on the boat today. Jos skiied pretty good, and Darryl was pure comedy with his enthusiasm at getting up on the skis. Go Darryl. Joslyn...in case you've forgotten or haven't read the achives from day one (Bad reader! Bad!!), is a friend from high school. We haven't been close in the years since because of a huge fight, but we've manged to forget (literally) the whole darn thing pretty well this summer, and get along. We even hang out and have fun. It's worked nicely, considering we're in physics together...
There were cute guys out today in Middle Bay. Oooo. Jos was drooling over the big bulging muscles. I thought they were too tan...I like my men pale and freckled...with red hair, goatees, hockey fetishes and wetsuit tan lines (Neoprene Suncreen Baby!!!) and....oh. Wait. Sorry...I lost myself a moment there. They were cute. They had big muscles. They had nice tans.
They couldn't ski. I thought it was hysterical to see this huge Muscle Beach escapee standing all crooked over combo skis, hanging on for dear life, when all 160 pounds of Brian was spinning like a turntable on the trick skis, and 120 pounds of me was lauching herself over the wakes, airborne, at 28 mph on the same kind of skis....and taking a cool fall too.
Usually, falls aren't that cool, but I was going fast for me. I got the edge of my ski caught and
WHABAMM!! Hello water!!
Both skis popped off, I did two flips once I hit and when I finally stopped spinning I was ten feet from the one ski and the other one had rested itself against the hand which was guarding my head. But water doesn't hurt when you fall, unless you go really fast or get slammed face first and get a noseful of water. It was fun. I made a noise like the baby in Dinosaurs...."Again!!!".
And I'm getting buff. I have visible arm muscles. Probably just because I was so scrawny to begin with, but you can see the muscles. Go me.
SHORT ENTRY!!!
