I don't know what these people are thinking. Any of them.
Throughout this entry you will note my horrid english. I refuse to use any pronouns to describe God other than 'it' due to the fact that no one has checked under his/her robes in a few millenia. Seeing as I also fail to believe in God, I'll leave the pronouns to those of you that do. Just my sly little way of trying to avoid offending all you crazy Bible-Thumpers. ;)
On my way back from the supermarket I was driving behind someone who easily could have been blind. They disregarded the lines, and the other cars and the trees on the side of the road. Amazing as it was, they failed to hit anything. Then I saw "God is my pilot: I'm just the co-pilot".
First thought "Oh shit, now they're letting God take over completely". Second thought "Do they think they're flying?" You pilot a plane, but you still drive a car, right? I feel it should be something more like "God is my chauffer", but I bet no one will make that bumper sticker.
If God was driving this person's car, God should have failed God's road test. God gave up trying to make rocks God can't move, and started build cars God can't drive. If you can't drive, don't put your faith in God...take the bus. God is a nightmare behind the wheel.
In other news...this site will be undergoing a MASSIVE revamp coming soon. You will no longer be able to access my journal from the main site because I will be adding a resume section to my site and wish to keep my personal and professional lives separate to whatever extent possible. Other changes will include moving the eggcam off the journal site into it's own separate area, hopefully accompanied by a small photo album (but if you've been reading a while you'll know not to hold your breath on that one).
So you'll still be able to get to my journal through http://eggwitches.com/journal/index.html, but the main site won't link here anymore.
That was IMPORTANT. You should NOTE THAT!!!
The cool part about re-doing my site is that Dan is helping me with the graphics this time. He's got MAD skills and he's already made some really sweet stuff for my site. I just have to poke around with all my html and move stuff so it'll be a few days before it all goes up.
Brian came up to Binghamton to visit a few days...there was a job fair on campus and he wanted to go. He made use of my couch in exchange for one dinner at the Olive Garden. I also got to make fun of his hair.
There was a hurricane yesterday. All it did here in Binghamton was rain for close to 30 hours straight. The power went out in my building for about an hour, but it didn't affect me too much because I have a battery backup on my computer so I still had a light and my phone and music. Brian and I sat around in the dark until I convinced him to go out somewhere with me...
...then the lights came on.
In the meantime I'm starting a bit of a cold and it makes me hate most of humanity. I want nothing more than to curl up in my bed and watch the TV while drinking Gatorade and sleeping.
Maybe reading a book too...but mostly sleeping.
I will be well soon. I have only two weeks to be ill. Then Dan comes to visit and I refuse to be ill when he shows up.
I refuse.
