Binghamton wasn't dull this weekend. In fact it was downright entertaining. I had a guest.
Dan was here this weekend for a visit, and I'm now sitting in front of my computer not listening to the music I have playing, almost done with my senior seminar outline, and writing a journal entry because I have thoughts and am distracted.
Dan's a wonderful sweetie (No barfing! Not fair! Suck it up back there you...) and I had a great time, but he brings a lot of stuff with him, and I'm glad to be able to navigate my room again. Beside his stuff being there, he's broad and takes up the pathways in my room quite well. I actually grabbed him and said "Sit!" a few times to get to my closet and such.
Of course, that was the only annoying part of him being here. He took me out and showed me a good time, kept me away from my computer for the better part of a week, and made sure my Ding-Dong munching self ate properly for a while. We went out driving for the sake of it, and got an almost perfect 3-pound pumpkin and a genuinely adorable orange-sized pumpkin at a farmstand. We got Indian food at A Taste of India in Syracuse with Joslyn and Kevin. We saw American Beauty, which was a very good, but very weird, movie.
Dan actually even stayed a few hours later than he had planned because we were having fun. But he has work tomorrow. Early. So he had to leave eventually. It was either that or enroll, and he's already out of college and part of that whole real-world thing I'm so looking forward to. I suggested computer science...
With that said, I'd like to move on to how much work I have this semester. Maybe I was just spoiled last semester when, with two classes (self defense doesn't count, no homework), I spent a mere four days doing work. Now with five classes, I have work to do everyday. Like all day. I always have something to do.
Get this...I have a test in every class but one within a week. And I have a paper due for the other class! ARRRRGGGHHH!!! I swear the teachers get together and set stuff up like this to make us hurt. I actually drew out my schedule and budgeted my evening for each class.
